A common question that is occuring now for Aircraft developers is how to port their project from FS Design Studio to GMax that is included with Flight Simulator 2002 Professional.

This document is assuming you have already installed GMax.  If not the setup files are part of the FS 2004 Gmax SDK which can be downloaded from Microsoft.

REQUIRED FSDS PLUGIN

This plugin that we need to obtain is CVA's import/export module for FS Design Studio.  This plugin will allow us to export our project from FSDS to a dxf file.  Below is the link to CVA's web page.

Follow the included instructions to install the plugins.  Also go into FSDS and select CVA Prefs from the Plugins menu and configure it the same as Pic 1.

REQUIRED GMAX PLUGIN

The plugin script for GMax will allow us to import the dxf file generated from the above plugin.  Below is the link to download the file.
